I work with organisations that want to better recognise, support and retain unpaid carers within their workforce — in ways that are practical, compassionate and genuinely meaningful.
This work is not about tick-box wellbeing or one-off awareness sessions. It’s about helping people at all levels of an organisation understand caring realities, build confidence in having the right conversations, and create cultures where carers can stay, contribute and thrive.

What I deliver

I deliver training, talks and facilitated sessions tailored to different audiences within your organisation, including:

  • Insight and awareness sessions for all staff
  • Training for managers and leaders to build confidence and capability
  • Facilitated sessions for carers themselves, focused on validation, resilience and emotional wellbeing

Sessions can be delivered online or in person, as standalone events or as part of a wider programme.
Full details, session outlines and outcomes are available in the services overview.

What organisations gain

Organisations I work with often tell me this is the first time carers have felt truly seen at work — and that managers leave feeling more confident, not more cautious.
My work supports organisations to:

  • improve understanding of unpaid caring and its impact
  • reduce stigma and silence around caring responsibilities
  • support earlier, more compassionate conversations
  • strengthen inclusion, wellbeing and retention

This isn’t about lowering expectations — it’s about creating conditions where people can do their best work.

At Santander Consumer Finance, we are committed to achieving an inclusive and supportive work environment for our employees. As part of this commitment, we are focused on raising awareness on disability and those who have caring responsibilities within the workplace.

We were delighted to invite Charlie Beswick to speak about the challenges and values of parent carers. Her powerful and informative session provided invaluable information and guidance on how managers and colleagues can provide support for team members.

Charlie was generous enough to hold an event for our local CIPD branch updating us on the changes to the carers leave Act coming into place. What stood out was the link to Charlie's story, and her willingness to be so incredibly open.
Not just a session that delivered important legal updates, but the reality of the impact on real families and people in the workplace makes the legislation very real.
Charlie is incredibly passionate about spreading the word in the EDI space and really works with people and companies to highlight just how significant the impact of a diverse and inclusive culture is.

Charlie has delivered two thought provoking tea and talks on how to support staff with caring responsibilities. Both sessions were very well received by our staff, who came away with new insights and perspectives relating to statutory employer responsibilities, allyship, and how we can all personally contribute to an inclusive workforce. It really is a pleasure to have worked with Charlie and I look forward to us working together again in the future.

What a great session Charlie gave to my Business Developer students! There were clear messages and ‘take-aways’ delivered in Charlie’s energetic style and underpinned by her inspiring story.

Listening to an inspiring story is always great, but coming away with usable personal tools that can lead to behavioural change is always the ultimate goal. Charlie managed this superbly. Still to this day I am able to have discussions with my students about Charlie’s message and tools and how they have, and will have, influences on their life and practice.

I would highly recommend Charlie!

Charlie was an absolute pleasure to work with, a real professional that delivered a well-planned webinar that was thought-provoking and inspiring. She shared strategies that were really simple but effective and great tools for anyone to have.

The ERG (Employee Resource Group) I help run has worked with Charlie several times now. We have brought Charlie in to lead in-person events in our London office, as well as host global webinars all centred around the topic of Caregivers in the workplace.

Charlie is an amazing speaker, presenter, and host and speaks with such authority and with a real depth of knowledge on the subject. Feedback from our attendees has always been incredible.

If you are looking for someone to lead a conversation in your organisation around caregiving and help you to engage with your community of carers then I can highly recommend Charlie.

Truly amazing. Thanks for all your support Charlie.
