I am a mother (life long carer for two), fiance, daughter, sister and friend. All of those roles are important ones to me but sometimes you just want to press pause for a while and just be you. So here I am, just Charlie.
Read my thoughts on everything and nothing in particular. My musings and ramblings on a life that continues to amaze and confuse me in equal measure daily!
Sometimes, particularly for mums who have the challenge of being a carer too, we can forget who we are when we are busy racing around and thinking of everyone else first so I make no apologies for being unashamedly self indulgent and a little bit sarcastic. I’d love you to meet me as myself as well as my boys Mum. I suggest you bring crackers and cheese – chances are that copious amounts of both will have been consumed in the creation of these blogs. Cheese is what I live for – after the boys, obvs!
40 things I have learned in 40 years
Despite dreading turning 40 for the past 6 months I woke on my 40th birthday feeling no different than before (other than a whopping cold sore which I'm hoping isn't an omen for the year ahead!) Loads of people (over the age of 40) have told me that 40 is still young...

4 reasons for the rise of Mrs Hinch
My friends and family will tell you that while I am a fairly organised person, my home (and workplace) has always been organised chaos. I always knew where everything was but to the untrained eye, it looked as though I was a clutter hoarder. Every now and then I would...

In my blog post where I shared the reasons why I left teaching and the impact of that decision, I explained how my income and self esteem are directly related and that I have always loved working both for my finances and my sanity. My fiance Andrew laughs that even if...
